The signs of good times returning are many, I’m sure all have noticed. For us at Newsec this is evident in several ways.
In our existing assignments we notice that our clients are again involved in transactions. We are to a larger extent asked to contribute to these; analyzing existing premises and selling them, as well as finding suitable properties and portfolios to buy. Another important feature is the leasing market which has developed above expectations. Our leasing team have leased out 150 000 sq.m. this year and would actually prefer more empty space to fill their days with! Also renegotiations have been successful, rent levels are rising in the larger cities and the rent discounts have disappeared completely in the negotiations.
The result of the last couple of rough years and the distraction from transactions is an increase in inquiries for our services, existing and new, and a much more intensified and active cooperation with many of our existing clients. The professionalism of our clients has put the pressure on us to become even better, to develop new services and to rise to a more strategic level.
